Toad In The Hole
1 package for Fuge Sausage British Bangers
1Tblsp canola oil
1.5 cup milk
1 cup all-purpose flour
Pinch of kosher salt
0.25 cup diced green onion
Preheat the oven to 425F
Whisk together the milk, flour, eggs and salt – the mixture should have the consistency of heavy cream. Let rest while browning the sausages.
Over medium heat brown the sausages with canola oil in an oven proof pan or cast iron frying pan. Once sausages are browned pour off any excess fat, make sure to keep the frying pan hot.
Pour the batter into the pan around the sausages. Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the batter is puffed and deep golden. Garnish with diced green onion.
Serve with salad or vegetables, great Sunday dinner for kids or before hockey practice!
